She was selfless and full of compassion for other people, always putting herself in the shoes, if not in the service, of others. In fact, she had realized early on that people had not been created equal, that there were the haves and have-nots.

The late matriarch was unlike many people who lack empathy for the needy and desperate. Throughout her successful life, she had however witnessed the struggles of many Filipinos.

She saw that no matter how hard most Filipinos work, not even a penny was left in their pockets even on payday. The family salary was spent on children’s education, food, fare, dues and other expenses.

Despite this, the late Mary Rose knew many Filipinos were capable of running their own businesses but solely lacked the needed source of financial capital for their dream ventures,
delivering untold opportunities.
